Worth the annual switch

I was looking for a good platform to sell my courses, and Steppit popped up. I went with the annual billing to get the discount, and it really made a difference in the overall cost. The creator dashboard is decent, and the student progress tracking is a must-have for me. For what I paid, getting all these features, plus the course sales platform, felt like a solid deal. I did a lot of comparing, and this seemed like the best value for getting started without breaking the bank.

Easy to use builder

So I decided to try Steppit out for a new course idea I had. The AI course creator was actually pretty cool, gave me a good starting point. I liked how easy it was to just film stuff right in the app, saved me a bunch of time. My students seemed to get the hang of it quick too. Overall, it felt pretty chill to set everything up and get going. No big headaches, which is always a plus.

Reliable platform

I've used Steppit for a few different courses now, and this time was just as smooth as the last. The mobile course builder is consistently good, and the student enrollment management always works without a hitch. I appreciate that I don't have to worry about the tech side when I'm focused on content. It's why I keep coming back for my step-by-step online courses. Even the in-app filming tools have gotten better over time, which was a nice surprise.

Is it possible to manage everything from my phone, like filming and uploading, or do I need a computer for the heavy lifting?

T Tom 1 month ago
You can do a surprising amount on your phone. Their whole thing is mobile-first video.

Definitely. The in-app filming tools are actually really good. I create and edit entire steps right from my phone sometimes. The AI assistant helps a lot with outlines too, so you're not just fumbling around.

I'm a teacher, do they offer any special discounts for educators?

D David Nguyen 2 months ago
I believe they do! Worth checking their site or support.

Yeah, I remember seeing something about educator discounts. It's not always obvious on the main pricing page, but if you look around or contact them, you might find it. Many SaaS companies offer that.

Saw some Black Friday ads last year for a different platform. Does Steppit usually do any big sales like that around November?

M Marcus L. 2 months ago
I think they usually have something for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Keep an eye out.

Yeah, they definitely do. I snagged a pretty sweet deal on an annual plan during their Cyber Monday sale a while back. Worth waiting if you can!

Does Steppit take a cut of my course sales? Trying to figure out the actual profit margin here.

J Jared V. 2 months ago
Nah, they don't take a commission on your sales. You keep all of it from what I understand.

That's one of the reasons I went with them actually. Unlike some other platforms, Steppit doesn't skim a percentage off each sale. You just pay your subscription fee.

Can I use a coupon code if I decide to upgrade to a Pro plan? Where do you even put them in?

C Carly 2 months ago
Yep, there's a spot for promo codes during checkout. Can't miss it.

Once you pick your plan and go to pay, there's usually a field that says 'Add coupon code' or something similar. Just type it in there.
